12th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival as “Charlotte Goes Green”, will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2007.
Come join us for the St. Patrick's Day PARTY!!! The day begins with the
parade which will begin at 11 am in front of the Charlotte Observer building (corner of Tryon St. and Stonewall St.) and proceed North up Tryon Street. All firefighters are invited to walk with the Fire Department entries in the parade.
After the parade we will head over to the festival area which will be located at the corner of Tryon St. and Third St. and will include the large parking area on Third St. between Tryon and Church. We will play several sets and make our new band shirts
and hats available. Afterwards we will head to several area bars where we plan to fire up the Pipes & Drums and enjoy the festivities.
Try to get to Connolly's Pub around 2:00 pm.
We generally have a good turnout "under the tent". We plan to fire
up the pipes and enjoy the spirit of the day. Our brothers from the
New Haven Pipes & Drums will make the trip down south and we plan to
give them some Southern Hospitality!
The numbers get bigger with each year so come on out and enjoy the
day.
